When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

After all, life is a journey and we sail through all the challenges in it to reach the destination. As we only have one lifetime, we must give it our best shot.

There are times, however, when ‘gets going’ might not be the best choice to make. Sometimes, life makes us wait and that is when the anchor plays its role. It will make sure that the ship is secure firmly in its position. It doesn’t mean there is no challenge in that though.

Not only we must be willing to wait but what we do while waiting may also be a challenge in itself. More often than not, we try to make things right while waiting which might not end up well. So waiting is not an easy thing to do and each of us deal with it in different ways.

I prefer waiting by escaping reality and coming back renewed.

When things are crystal clear

I didn’t understand what the responsive theme had done to my website but I would by the time I finished with all the settings and codes I had to tweak around here.

It wouldn’t have been possible without the feedback I got from the readers and I’m grateful for that.

Chances are big that I will tweak some more in the future but for now it is suffice to say that I’m done!

It is one thing to build a website from scratch and it is another to use a ready-to-go theme and tweak it. I did the latter because life priorities do not allow me the time needed to create a website from bottom-up. All credits go to the people behind for the themes I have been using all these years.

Alright, so what now?

A Work in Progress

I read some of my old blogs with me trying to explain my previous absence from blogging. Now I’m back after not posting any blog for more than a year. Or two. This time, however, there are no excuses other than I did not feel like sharing anything here.

So I gave myself a long break from blogging and after all is said and done, I chose to focus on ‘now’.

The bottom line is: nobody is perfect. Just like everybody else, I am still a work in progress. I am completely okay with that and so grateful for the supports from families and friends during these on and off blogging years! With the pass of time came the realization that my website is not perfect either. The previous theme was no longer able to meet the ongoing demands. As the result, I decided to change.

The website theme, that is!

Life Actually!

It has been thirteen months of no blogging on this website. Needless to say, I am not proud of it but it did not happen for no reason. I do, however, hate excuses so I chose to take another approach.

Before I move on, all there is left to say about what happened in those thirteen months is: life.

We all live and learn in one way or another. Today, I can’t be more grateful for having a new way of learning life. As I mentioned before, rather than excuses, I prefer talking about all the learned lessons from January 2012 to January 2013. There are more than enough to feed one’s soul.

On every given day!

Do It Yourself: Blogging on Holidays

~ Unfinished ~ ©Thesunsetgirl.Com
Some very strong-willed blogger souls may be able to resist the breeze coming through the window of the hotel room by the beach or the smell of fresh dew right at the porch of the cottage by the mountain, as may they whose lives simply depend on the internet.

I fail to fall into either category!

Try as I may, I simply can not stay in front of my macbook for longer than half an hour when I am on holiday. Trust me, I have tried it numerous times with all the gadgets my (not that much) money can buy. For instance, no matter how many times I remind myself to check in on Foursquare during the holidays, chances are I will end up forgetting all about it!

If I force myself, I feel like I’m betraying my own soul.

There is time for everything!

The time is finally here!

The last couple of weeks have been like going on a time travel machine to me. I feel like hopping around from one year of my life to another, recollecting memories.

It’s an amazing ‘journey’ as well as a huge challenge to experience all that while enjoying my holiday on a beautiful island. I’m glad I remember everything.

The only reason I need to do all these because I’m about to start a new chapter in my life. Therefore, I want to decide which parts of my past I will take with me to the future and which parts I need to leave behind.

To have these options is simply a bliss.

Do It Yourself: Getting Things Done

~ closer ~ ©Thesunsetgirl.Com
July 2011 is unlike any other July I had in my life, as far as I can remember.

Given the fact that I’m getting older faster than I should, I guess it is safe to say that my memory does go quite far.

What happened prior to school is the one part in my life I find not easy to recall. My family moved to and went back from the capital in early 1980’s so I think that can be the reason behind the blur memory.

When it comes to the month of July, what I have are some special July moments when I was a kid. However, I will save them for another blog. This July taught me many lessons that can be summarized into one simple sentence.

Life is too short so stick to what matters the most!
