I attended a special event last Friday to see the short movies made by a Canadian artist who has been traveling around my country, Indonesia, for about 20 years.
What I learned after the event is quite unexpected! It was one of those rare opportunities to see my own country in the eyes of a foreigner be it we share the same point of view or not.
I, for one, will always welcome the chance to share opinions freely even though in the end we have to agree to disagree.
Then came the moment when he said this:
“We can not know where we are going if we do not know where we are from!”
~ Carl Valiquet
In light of fun sharing instead of doing it a tad too seriously, I decided to share a short list for travel blog this time.
What kind of list am I talking about?
It is a list of things I miss whenever I’m outside the places I am from – be it my hometown or my country, Indonesia.
To be honest, this list of mine has grown a bit. The last time I shared it on my old blog, I only had 3 things on it and now I have more! It’s not that I miss more things on the road than before.
It just that I decided to make the list more personal this time.
