Some very strong-willed blogger souls may be able to resist the breeze coming through the window of the hotel room by the beach or the smell of fresh dew right at the porch of the cottage by the mountain, as may they whose lives simply depend on the internet.

I fail to fall into either category!

Try as I may, I simply can not stay in front of my macbook for longer than half an hour when I am on holiday. Trust me, I have tried it numerous times with all the gadgets my (not that much) money can buy. For instance, no matter how many times I remind myself to check in on Foursquare during the holidays, chances are I will end up forgetting all about it!

 

If I force myself, I feel like I’m betraying my own soul.

A year in review.

Last month, April 9th 2011, was the first anniversary of this website of mine. On the one hand, a lot of things have been done in the real life since that day which will bring some changes to this site soon.

On the other hand, it took me almost one month to finally post a blog to mark the first year of this website. I couldn’t help but wondering, what to post for my ‘a year in review’ blog?

The challenge lies in being honest with what I have been doing here all these times. Fortunately, I didn’t have to look any further because the answers are right here on this site.

 

As usual, I’m doing it my own way.

Open Mouth Insert FOOD?

No, you did not read it wrongly.

I did use ‘Open mouth insert FOOD’ as the title of this post. We all know the old saying ‘Open mouth insert FOOT’ which means ‘to say something without thinking carefully’.

I will share why I had to change the end of that saying in the title later on this blog.

It is not an easy blog to write though. As someone who happen to love talking (I plea not guilty!), I know how challenging it can be to think first before saying something. It is much easier to do the opposite, say whatever I think.

 

That usually comes with a price to pay.
